Natural Resources & Shellfish

The Brewster Natural Resources Department oversees shellfish propogation and regulation.

Draft Long Pond Alum Treatment Report, Feb 13, 2009

To moor a boat in Brewster, you must fill out the attached application and contact the Natural Resources department. All moorings (existing and new) must apply annually for a mooring permit. Permits are due for renewal February 15 of each year.

Shellfish and Mooring Regulations are available online in PDF format or may be picked up in Town Hall.

Shellfishing permits:
Resident over 70 years of age (lifetime License) $5.00
Resident Annual Shellfish Permit $25.00
Non-Resident Annual Permit $125.00
Non-Resident (one week) $20.00

Mooring and Kayak Rack Fees: $25.00
