Health Department
The Board of Health is responsible for the protection and promotion of the public health, the control of disease, and the promotion of sanitary living conditions. There are five elected members of the Board of Health, who serve three-year terms. The Board is represented in day-to-day activities by a full-time Health Director and an Assistant Health Director. The Board of Health has the power to adopt health regulations as it deems necessary and is responsible for enforcement of the state and local health laws and regulations. The Department of Public Works and the Board of Health regulate the Town's waste transfer station.
