Welcome to the Town of Brewster website. Please excuse what might be sudden changes in the appearance of pages as we expand and rework the site to be more friendly and provide faster access to the information citizens and visitors are most interested in.

Many of our documents, including meeting minutes and forms and applications are posted in Adobe Acrobat "PDF" format. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC, you can download it free of charge from Adobe's website.

The Town of Brewster is built on the open source Joomla software and uses a modified Afterburner template, release for public use by Rocketheme. It features clear easy to read text, a layout usable at lower monitor resolutions, and the ability to be read by "screen reader" software. This site also uses the Docman extension for our minutes and documents archive and the gcalendar extension to integrate our calendar services provided by google. We appreciate the contributions of the authors of Joomla software, extensions, and templates for releasing their software at little or no cost to the public under the Gnu GPL license.

For automatic delivery of news from Brewster there are RSS feeds for the front "landing" page and for individual departmental and committee pages. Click on the RSS symbol .

The Brewster Calendar is provided by Google and can be added by Google users (brewstercapecod), read through a RSS feed or exported to iCal.
