Website Software Information

The Town of Brewster website is built on the open source Joomla software and uses a modified Panacea template by Rocketheme. Our minutes and document sections are provided by the Docman extension, video is provided by hwdvideo, and the gcalendar extension integrates our calendar services provided by google. We appreciate the contributions of the authors of Joomla software, extensions, and templates for releasing their software at little or no cost to the public under the Gnu GPL license.

For automatic delivery of news from Brewster there are RSS feeds for the front "landing" page and for individual departmental and committee pages. Click on the RSS symbol at the bottom of each page.

The Brewster Calendar is provided by Google and can be added by Google users (brewstercapecod), read through a RSS feed or exported to iCal.

RSS feeds from our front page and calendar are mirrored automatically on Brewster Channel 18.

This website requires a minimum of Internet Explorer 7, 8, or 9, Mozilla Firefox 3.6, or Google Chrome browsers. If you are using an older Browser or viewing on a Smartphone, you may experience difficulties.

Many of our documents, including meeting minutes and forms and applications are posted in Adobe Acrobat "PDF" format. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC, you can download it free of charge from Adobe's website. Some features of this website are provided by Adobe Flash, Sun Java.
